Eboni Joi's Acting Studio

Classes begin the week of April 9, 2012 and will be offered Mondays, once a week each month from 6-9 p.m. Class size is limited to 10 students per class to ensure that every student gets a substantial amount of personal attention and play time on and off the stage. 

Classes are divided into exercise work followed by monologue and scene study work.  Students should come prepared to be physical, which means wearing comfortable, loose fitting clothes, gym shoes and no bulky jewelry.   Come prepared to perform! You don’t need to be shy. We’re all here to have a great time and express ourselves artistically!

Individual lessons are available for those who desire to work on specific areas i.e help with an upcoming audition, or a difficulty you’re looking to overcome within your performance.

Eboni Joi will…

-Teach you vocal and physical warm- up exercises that can be used on a daily basis

-Teach character development and different ways to commit to each character

-Teach you how to take risks and release fear thru positive reinforcement

-Identify emotional and physical blocks that keep you from free expression

-Teach you how to tap into your imagination in order to be totally immersed in a scene

-Teach scene study techniques and offer her personal “under the line” technique

-Develop you, the actor into a positively sound and confident performer
